General Description: Cathedral Academy is a vibrant ministry of a community-oriented local church where Biblical principles are integrated into the entire fabric of the student’s school experience. Committed teachers challenge students to develop a Christian world view while learning critical thinking skills. The Cathedral experience is noticeably alive! Accreditation: Cathedral Academy is accredited by South Carolina Independent School Association (SCISA), Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and AdvancED.

Community Service: Students in grades nine through twelve must complete a minimum of 12 community service hours per year for each year of attendance in order to meet graduation requirements.

Athletics: Cheerleading, Soccer, Volleyball, Boy’s Volleyball, Football, Basketball, Baseball, Cross Country and Softball (subject to student participation)

Testing: Cathedral students take standardized tests on an annual basis.

Graduation Requirements: Students may earn a possible 30 credits in college preparatory, honors, or AP courses. Students graduate with a minimum of 24 credits including:

  • English – 4 units
  • Math – 4 units
  • Science – 3 units
  • Social Studies – 3 units
  • Foreign Language – 2 units
  • Physical Education – 1 unit
  • Computer Science – 1 unit
  • Fine Arts – 1 unit
  • Biblical Studies – 1 unit per year at CA
